Calonectria (Ca.) species and their Cylindrocladium (Cy.) anamorphs are well-known pathogens of forest nursery plants in subtropical and tropical areas of the world. An investigation of the mortality of rooted Pinus cuttings in a commercial forest nursery in Colombia led to the isolation of two Cylindrocladium anamorphs of Calonectria species. The aim of this study was to identify these species using DNA sequence data and morphological comparisons. Two species were identified, namely one undescribed species, and Cy. gracile, which is allocated to Calonectria as Ca. brassicae. Decline in the productivity of Eucalyptus hybrid cutting production in the Guangdong Province of China is linked to cutting rot associated with several Calonectria spp. The aim of this study was to identify these fungi using morphological and DNA sequence comparisons. Two previously undescribed Calonectria spp., Ca. pseudoreteaudii sp. nov. and Ca. cerciana sp. nov. were identified together with Ca. pauciramosa. Calonectria pseudoreteaudii resides in the Ca. reteaudii complex and Ca. cerciana is closely related to Ca. morganii. Um dos fatores mais importantes que influenciam no sucesso de plantios florestais é a fitossanidade dos mesmos. Doenças foliares causadas por fungos têm sido frequentemente constatadas em plantios de eucalipto em diversas regiões do Brasil. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os sintomas e identificar os fungos causadores de mancha foliar em testes de procedência e progênies de Eucalyptus benthamii em três locais na região sul do Brasil. A avaliação foi realizada em São Mateus do Sul (PR), Mafra (SC) e Porto União (SC) aos 10, 16 e 27 meses de idade dos plantios.
